Born and raised in Philly, DJ Odot grew up in a city with deep musical roots — and he soaked it all in. From the jump, Odot was in the mix of the city’s booming hip-hop and neo-soul scenes. Performing with legends like The Roots, Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild, and Busta Rhymes, he quickly made a name for himself as someone who could move any crowd.

Early in his career, Odot was signed to Dexter Wansel’s production company under Philadelphia International, a major stepping stone that taught him the business and creative sides of the industry. Together, they’ve created everything from soulful R&B tracks to church-shaking gospel records. His first gospel single, Let’s Get Down, was recorded there — proof that Odot doesn’t stay in one lane. “I sing, I rap, I DJ — that’s what God gave me. Why not use it all?
