Artist Biography And Background Story 

Churchin' With Chad Howard is both a radio program on IAG radio and a gospel concert series in Houston TX.  The radio show can be heard daily from 2pm to 6pm central on IAG Radio.  The concert series is a bi-monthly gospel concert to benefit the Greater Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church located in the famous 5th Ward district of Houston TX.

 

Born and raised in Austin Texas, Chad's incredible vocal talent was discovered at the age of 5.  At the age of 8 he began playing the piano.  With strong support from his mother, Vernell Howard, Chad was performing at a young age around town and for then local television program The Elmer Atkins Gospel Train. 2007 was his first recording debut.  By this time Chad sang with different groups as well as his own Chad Howard and H.I.M.  Before leaving Austin, he already gained local popularity in West Texas having shared the stage with gospel greats such as The Rance Allen Group, Marvin Sapp and Brian Courtney Wilson, just to name a few.  Chad moved on to Gulfport MS singing before settling in Houston TX where he has become very well known in the area.

I consider myself an Innovative gospel singer whose uses rap beats to praise God! I can listen to beat of any kind and my soul fills with poetry. l have been writing songs since I heard my first beat without a soloist so I became the soloist to that beat!
If my music can touches one soul and make them believer in goodness of the Father I have done my job.

The journey began in 1995 when Dr. Juan Santiago formed Juan Santiago and the Praise Community Choir. Dr. Juan Santiago organized singers from all over the East and West coast, which uniquely combined an array of Solo Artist, Worship Leaders, Pastors, Co Pastors, as well as other ministry leaders to create a united and effective music ministry. In 2000 the name of the group was changed to Juan Santiago & Uninhibited Praise also known as “JSUP”.  JSUP has appeared on Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel in 1996 and 2000.  In 2005 JSUP released their debut album "Takin' it to Da Streetz" which produced three popular singles entitled “Get Cha’ Praise On”, “More Than You Can Bear”, and “I Give You Peace,” all which remained number one on local stations for 14 weeks.

     The release of their sophomore project entitled “The Ultimate Worship Experience- Live” in 2011 produced top-charting singles “Healing Rain”, “Holy is the Lord” (Stellar Award Eligible), and “Majesty” and sold 62,000 units
